how do you make it all seem real?
i find it hard to fit the parts
with open pages
is it me or just the season
cuz im feeling less inspired now
perhaps I'll get out
more often
we always knew it wasn't easy
to recall the past and write it down
my memory wont serve me half as well
as photographic stills
just sitting on the shelf
they cant help themselves
they cant help but glare
our eyes are simply cameras
I myself, just a voyeur
my head is filled with darkrooms
taking names and printing colors
is it wrong to create confusion
with attempts at reckless thoughts
in print?
Whatever keeps you interested
while im connecting dots

I like how the middle stanzas bleed into one another
"as photographic stills
just sitting on the shelf"
"they can't help but glare
our eyes"
It gives the poem a lucid sense of consistency yet also isolates the reader with the the still image of a photograph.
"is it wrong to create confusion
with attempts at reckless thoughts
in print"
Is a bit paradoxical however it seems that you are aware of this. Alluding to the "confusion," you question that manifests itself in the frozen faces photographs frame.
Addressing the reader in the last stanza is a nice touch...
"Whatever keeps you interested
while I'm connecting dots"
The reader doesn't know what is going on but it doesn't matter. The cryptic verse before hand keep the reader busy, interested in the act of decoding. You, on the other hand, establish that you're beyond confusion, busy with the next step. Seeking out truth as a mean to unearth meaning. "Connecting the dots."
